Detroit Pistons KO'd in first quarter at home by New York Knicks, 128-98

By midway through the second quarter, the Detroit Pistons had recorded more turnovers (10) than field goals made (9). That stat encapsulates a game that was effectively decided from the start. The Pistons were down by 26 points by the end of the first quarter and ultimately fell to the New York Knicks, 128-98, at Little Caesars Arena. In a chaotic opening period, they committed seven turnovers and shot just 6-for-21, allowing the Knicks to build a massive lead while some fans were still finding their seats. At one point in the second half, the Pistons trailed by as many as 38.

Jalen Brunson was unstoppable, putting up 26 of his 36 points before halftime. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 22 points and six rebounds, while Tobias Harris contributed 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
